We are not your usual rescue centre with dedicated shelters where we can house unwanted dogs until they find their forever homes. Instead, we rely on the kindness of individuals to open their homes and hearts to temporarily shelter and care for dogs in need. These selfless individuals have so much love to give and embrace the rewarding and sometimes challenging task of looking after abandoned,  mistreated or neglected animals with the hope of giving the animals a fighting chance at a better future. We are always in desperate need of foster homes, and if you are up for the task, please complete and submit the form at the link below. Let's save more lives together!

With an increasing number of animals needing our assistance, our resources, especially for veterinary care, are stretched. 
If you wish to donate supplies, drop them off at any Raw Essentials Kumeu stores in Auckland. We are often in need of:

• Dog beds

• Flea and Worm Treatments

Run a fundraising event in your community on behalf of Paws Restart to raise much-needed funds that support our work. They can be through cupcake sales, donation box collection at your school, club or work, or by creating a Givealittle fundraiser page. Contact us to register your fundraising activity, discuss any new fundraising ideas or if you need help setting up a fundraiser event. 

Sometimes, we need assistance with tasks outside of our areas of expertise. As a charitable organisation, we often do not have the resources that would enable us to pay for services to complete these tasks. We often seek people with building, carpentry, computers, digital, event management, PR, or communication skills. If you have a good experience in any of these areas and are keen to donate some of your time to help us further the cause, email us your details and experiences. We will add you to our database and be in touch when needed.
